Prior to the 1820s, chocolate milk didn’t exist as a commonly enjoyed beverage. In 1828, a method of pressing cocoa to produce smooth chocolate powder was created, and chocolate milk was born. Since that time, chocolate milk has grown in popularity to become a standard treat for young and old.
In addition to a delicious refreshment, the treat of chocolate milk provides restorative properties to athletes who exercise intensively. Chocolate milk includes all nine essential nutrients commonly found in milk, providing protein for muscle growth, easily absorbed calcium for bone health, and an abundance of additional nutrients for a healthy diet.
