Description of Clover Farms Class A Driving Jobs

Drivers with a Class A CDL can operate vehicles with a gross weight of 26,001+ pounds. The vehicles can tow units with a gross weight of 10,000+ pounds. Potential applications include tractor-trailers and flatbeds, livestock carriers, combo hauling with double or triple trailers, tractor-trailer buses, and tanker vehicles given the appropriate endorsements. Clover Farms uses refrigerated steel tanker trucks to transport fresh milk, so our Class A drivers need to have the tanker endorsement or be able to obtain one.

Obtaining a tanker endorsement (N) for current Class A drivers requires a knowledge test only.

Scheduling is very important to the procedure we use for milk collection and transfer. Milk deposits go directly into our tankers in order for drivers to immediately deliver them to the processing center. This fast shipping of cold dairy ensures that the product is as fresh as possible. Our days start early, but our drivers are home nightly.

Driving a tanker truck for Clover Farms may differ from standard tractor-trailer driving. Drivers will need to adjust to “surge,” the movement of liquids within a tanker that isn’t full upon stopping. We will administer a road test to ensure that drivers can safely accommodate this issue and operate under various road conditions.

We collect milk throughout PA in order to produce and deliver 3 million gallons of liquid milk each day. Our drivers must be efficient, safe, and committed to performance. The quality of our products is of the utmost importance.

A driving job that pairs nightly home time with competitive pay is a rare gem. Avoid the stress of being far from home for days at a time by choosing to drive for Clover Farms. We will provide training, so no experience is necessary.

We need committed drivers with a Class A CDL and tanker endorsement. These jobs will have you in your own bed every night and a competitive salary in your pocket. This opportunity is rare for professional drivers and provides an avenue for entry into the field.
