What to Expect Driving for Clover Farms
Clover Farms utilizes tanks to transfer liquids as standard procedure. We collaborate with over 170 family farms, collecting fresh milk as quickly as possible into our refrigerated stainless-steel tanks. We use the same tanks to deliver our dairy products to our processing facilities and customers. Handling our products as quickly as possible makes sure that our customers receive only the freshest dairy products.
Every Class A CDL truck driver in our employ needs to have or be able to obtain a tanker endorsement because we use tanker trucks. The trucks our drivers operate are more than 26,000 pounds, insulated tank style straight trucks. These drivers will follow our strict schedule of pickup and delivery among the participating farms, dairy processing center, and other destinations. We do not require previous experience for the position.
Our drivers will deliver all of our products, including dairy products, milk, juices, Icy Teas, bottled water, and fruit drinks to various destinations. Their physical abilities should allow for the loading and unloading of cold products at the destinations, and they should be fully prepared to follow a strict schedule and route. Our drivers will also have to complete log books and driver reports, as well as following all DOT, OSHA, and Clover Farms regulations.
Safety is first with our drivers. Every driver must operate and drive safely, always. Our drivers must have experienced driving in inclement weather and be able to demonstrate proficiency. We use handheld devices, and our drivers must be able to learn how to use them.
Professionalism is also key. Our drivers must speak, look, and act the part. We demand that our drivers treat customers well throughout the day. You will be the face of our company within the community, so your appearance and behavior should reflect well upon us.
