Tap into the expertise of the Clover Farms team to implement your own line of private label dairy products. We are not co-packers, but an established private labeler like us may be a smarter choice than a co-packer.

About Us

Clover Farms has been through many changes since our founding in the rich, rolling hills of Pennsylvania Dutch dairy country. In 1937, we began by milking cows, bottling the milk in glass bottles, and delivering door-to-door via horse-drawn wagons.

Dairy Co-PackersToday, we are the largest privately owned dairy company in PA, processing fluid milk, heavy cream, Icy Tea, juices, fruit drinks, spring water, as well as eggnog, buttermilk, cottage cheese, sour cream, creamers, and other delicious products, for distribution to many local and regional grocery stores, restaurants, schools and other institutions.

Co-Packing or Private Labeling?

Most people confuse the terms “co-packing” and “private labeling,” but they are not the same. Co-packing refers to contract packaging or contract manufacturing. In brief, a third-party company manufactures, packages and labels products for its clients using the client’s proprietary formula(s). Clover Farms does not offer co-packing.

Private labeling means that Clover Farms will manufacture a product of our own formulation, such as Chocolate Milk, and package it under your brand name with your private label. In some cases, an exclusive formula can be created, or our current formula can be adjusted to meet your needs.

Private labeling has several important advantages:

  • Give your customers an exclusive high-quality product they can’t find elsewhere.
  • Build brand recognition.
  • Compete against national chains/brands.
  • Develop new products faster and bring them to market quickly.
  • Increase customer loyalty.
  • Grow at your own pace.
  • Modify/change your products as necessary based on customer demands.
  • Generate extra profit without a lot of extra work. (Lower production expenses equate to higher profits.)

Private labeling offers other advantages. It can help you address the needs of your customers without worrying about sourcing and procurement, certifications, and the time-consuming process of manufacturing your own products. If your label is successful, it may even become a national brand!
